I relish a challenge and enjoy finding a creative solution for the most interesting projects.

I am an individual and offer an individual, bespoke service. Listening to what my clients require and do my best to supply a bespoke solution. I'm always interested in meeting new clients or fellow designers and chatting over a coffee

I have had the privilege to work on everything from publications, to books, websites, identities, and signage. A selection of my projects can be viewed in my portfolio.

Working Process

  • About your project

Before starting a project we need to know what our client needs. Gathering information is the first step of the design process. When approaching a new job, we need to set up an initial meeting to discuss the scope of the work and gather as much information as possible.

To tell me more about your project please complete the
    Project Planner Document

  • Brief and Initial Quote

Using the information collected in the initial meeting an outline of the content and goal of the project will be built and presented for approval before proceeding. With the proposal, an initial quote for the cost and timeframe would be provided based upon a daily / hourly charge.

  • Brainstorming and initial ideas

In this stage, we build upon the information gathered in the initial meeting. It is also time to get the creative juices flowing, with our goal to come up with something new and different that will separate your outcome from the rest.

Initial ideas may be presented as visual mock-ups or working drawings depending on the outcome. We like to involve you in the process as soon as possible, to gain your feedback on the direction in which to develop. We welcome questions or possible suggestions and encourage your feedback and participation in the process.

  • Development and Feedback

Following the client review, the design may need development based upon your feedback. Alternative designs may be produced from which the final design can be created. Alternative designs allow you some options and could allow us to combine elements from each.

  • Completion and Delivery

Working within your deadline is important, and we always strive to meet it. Completion is when the original brief has been answered. Delivery can take many forms, from working with the Printer, to providing your final files, or your website going live. Our main form of advertising is word of mouth, and encourage you to recommend our services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Costing

Every project is different, and I like to hear what will be involved and explain my design process in an outlined no obligation proposal for each client. I have an hourly/daily charge which would be disclosed with your proposal.

Content Management Systems

A content management system (CMS) is a system used to manage the content of a Web site.
It allows you to create, edit or modify web content within a predefined website design using a template or a set of templates. Content can be edited within a predefined content area, and with CMS tools allows you to build upon your site and edit your site when you need to.
I work in a number of different content management system software, choosing the most suitable for your project, building bespoke themes/template designs and creating a website you can manage.

Accessibility

Web accessibility refers to the inclusive practice of making websites usable by people of all abilities and disabilities.
When sites are correctly designed, developed and edited, all users can have equal access to information and functionality.
I have created a number of websites that pay specific attention to Accessible web design adhering strictly to the WCAG and WAI guidelines in order to create sites that meet high standards of web accessibility. In order to meet web accessibility standards and guidelines websites must help make the Web accessible to people with disabilities including auditory, cognitive, neurological, physical, speech, and visual disabilities.
